The Russian Endurance Challenge 2022 is a 4-hour endurance car race founded in Russia.
On the eve of the second round of the REC, the competitors had practice sessions to get acquainted with the track, which go a new layout for the Formula 1 racing. And if the first session was held on dry asphalt, during the second session the drivers had to deal with some heavy rain. A great opportunity to test the cars and the track in different modes!
An amazing combination of “space” sports prototypes, powerful cars, premium brands and domestic classics (VAZ-2101 and VAZ-21063) gave the competition a special charm. Daniil Kvyat, Vitaly Petrov, Roman Rusinov, Sergey Sirotkin, Mikhail Aleshin and other eminent drivers spent four hours determining who would be the best in each of the classes and in the overall standings.
1st place: G-Drive Racing (No. 26, drivers - Roman Rusinov, Daniil Kvyat) in a G-Drive G01 sports prototype
2nd place: Yadro Motorsport (No. 4, drivers - Sergey Stolyarov, Rinat Salikhov) in a Mercedes AMG GT3
3rd place: Capital Racing Team (No. 13, Denis Remenyako, Adam Christodoulou) in a Mercedes AMG GT3
The race was presented by the G-Drive fuel brand from the Gazprom Neft filling station network.
