Saint Petersburg to host GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023, a grand celebration of music, speed and thrill, for the second time.
On 5 and 6 August, GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023, a two-day festival, will be held at the Igora Drive circuit. The event guests will enjoy exciting sports competitions, entertaining activities, master classes, autograph sessions and concerts. The festival organisers have prepared a packed programme where everyone can find entertainment for themselves.
Motorsport fans will be able to cheer on the participants of the exciting endurance race REC Igora Drive 4 hours 2023. A distinctive feature of these competitions is its long distance, change of drivers and refuelling during the race. The best Russian racing drivers will compete in a four-hour marathon on the modern track of the Igora Drive circuit. Cars of different classes take part in the race: from powerful sports prototypes and supercars of the GT category to democratic cars of national classes and ageless “classic cars”. The winners are determined both in the overall standings and in the classes.
The 4th round of RDS EUROPE, an interregional drift championship, will be the highlight of the GARAGE FEST Igora Drive festival. The drivers include promising young athletes and recognised favourites of Russian drift, winners of national and international competitions. 10 teams and more than 50 competitors from Russia and neighbouring countries will take part in the round. All guests will have access to the service park, where they will be able to see the cars, get drivers’ autographs during the photo op on the track and take photos.
The whole weekend, in addition to the endurance race and drift, there will be motocross performances, where the best motocross riders will compete for the title of the best rider of the weekend. Spectacular sessions, breath-taking jumps and intense fights await the guests of the festival.
For the second year in a row, Autoculture, a special theme area, will be created specifically for GARAGE FEST Igora Drive. More than a hundred truly rare cars will be presented at the exhibition. For all those who are passionate about automotive culture, the organisers of the project will once again bring together unique automotive industry specimens, which in ordinary life are hidden in private collections, museum warehouses and restoration workshops. Guests will be able to see racing cars at the exhibition, get acquainted with rare homologation specimens and spectacular sports cars. On Saturday, guests will be able to see many of them in action at a special race parade that will take place on the modern Igora Drive track.
In the Autoculture lecture hall, guests will be able to listen to speeches by reputable speakers, chat with like-minded people. Famous personalities from the world of cars, motorsports will take part in discussions on the topics of speed, motorsport, collecting rules, restoration, automotive culture in its various manifestations.
An exhibition of unique dragsters and pro mod cars that take part in the Russian and World Drag Racing Championship RDRC will serve as a great addition to the festival programme. The guests of the festival will be able to see and hear exclusive cars of the best tuning studios in Russia and the world, and have a look under the hood of powerful cars with a name plate rating of 500 hp.
For the first time as part of the GARAGE FEST Igora Drive, Formula Student, an international engineering and sporting event, will be held, where students from leading technical universities will present their formula cars. Formula Student is an annual student competition, the rounds of which are held in Germany, the UK, Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, India, Australia, and the USA. Teams from all over the world design, build, test and compete in formula racing cars. Teams will bring their developments to the Igora Drive circuit, present their engineering solutions to the jury and justify their economic and technical efficiency, and then test the cars on the track.
Inspired by the atmosphere of the festival, the guests will be able to make use of the services of the driving centre, as well as to go for a ride in a go-kart. The festival will feature a large food court with a variety of food and drinks.
GARAGE FEST Igora Drive is a mix of sports, music and a great time with family and friends. The organisers of the festival have prepared a great entertainment programme, including performances by famous artists and DJs with their favourite and recognisable hits.
The GARAGE FEST Igora Drive 2023 tickets are already on sale. The ticketing programme includes three categories: VIP, Comfort and General Admission. Traditionally, the ticket prices will change in accordance with a pre-planned schedule, and, until 31 March, there is an Early Bird promotion, under which you can buy tickets at the best prices - a two-day General Admission ticket for the festival will cost only 1,000 roubles. One-day festival tickets are also on sale. Children under 6 are admitted accompanied by an adult free of charge; children aged between 7 and 13 require a child ticket; those over 14 require an adult ticket.
