Formula 3 driver Alexander Smolyar to take part in third Sochi Drift Challenge 2023 round

Third Sochi Drift Challenge round starts on Sochi Autodrom track 
The races will be held on a new layout, as at the first round, the drivers will be accelerating in the long third turn of the track and will finish in the fourth. 

70 drivers have entered into the competition, among them Alexander Smolyar, a talented driver who successfully competed in Formula 3 in 2022 for the MP Motorsport team and showed excellent results, including first place at the Hungarian Grand Prix. At the moment, Alexander is one of the strongest drivers in Russia who has a chance to get into Formula 1. 

At the third Sochi Drift Challenge round, Alexander will drive a BMW E30. His competitors include both eminent drift drivers, Nikita Shikov, Anatoly Shcherbak, Roman Tivodar, and young drivers, for example, the Popov brothers from Sochi, Vladislav and Ilya, who learn drifting skills from Russian Drift Series Grand Prix Champion Arkady Tsaregradtsev. The geography of the competitors also continues to grow, drivers from Belarus will again take part in the fight for the trophies.

Qualifying will take place on 18 February starting at 11:00, and on 19 February tandem races will begin. You can enjoy beautiful drifting online in the official Sochi Autodrom VK group, where the two days of the competition will be broadcast live. And you will be able to watch the competition live only at the final round, which will be held at Sochi Autodrom on 25 and 26 March. All ticket holders will be able to watch the races for two days, visit the service park, where you can see the cars of the teams, take photos and chat with the drivers. Please note that the ticket prices increase on 1 March.
