2nd Sochi Drift Challenge round starts

Second Sochi Drift Challenge round starts on Sochi Autodrom track


The second Sochi Drift Challenge round will be held from 20 to 22 January on the “classic layout” in the second turn. 


More than 60 competitors have applied to take part in the competition, including both promising rookies and eminent drivers. For example, Nikita Shikov, an experienced driver from the Carville Racing team, became a runner-up at the first Sochi Drift Challenge round, and finished on top in the team standings. Or Roman Tivodar, a young and talented drifter from Sochi, who now competes for the Side Masters team along with another well-known drifter, Alexander Kalashnik. The geography of competitors continues to grow, racers from Belarus will also compete for the title, three drivers from Minsk are taking part in Sochi Drift Challenge for the first time. The entrants include those for whom drift discipline is a new page. Aleksey Bashmakov from St. Petersburg, a Russian rally champion, will take part in Sochi Drift Challenge for the first time. 


Qualifying will take place on 21 January starting at 11:00, and on 22 January at 10:30 tandem races will begin. You can enjoy spectacular drift competitions online in the official Sochi Autodrom VK group, where the qualifying and finals of all Sochi Drift Challenge rounds will be broadcast live. And you can watch the competition live only at the final, which will be held on 25 and 26 March. An additional bonus for ticket holders: access to the very heart of the event - the Service Park, where you can see cars and drivers at arm's length, take photos and buy souvenirs.
